And I also believe that once they develop that chemistry, DHop is going to have some eye-popping games this season.

I think he could have more than a couple 100-yd games. He could have multiple TD games, as he did last season with Levis. And some of those TDs were off 40+ yd receptions, so it doesn't have to come from a quick slant on the GL. He can still score from deep in the right situations.

I think if everything went perfectly with no hiccups, DHop could still finish the season near 1,000 yds and 10 TDs. But really I think he'll probably end up around 700 or so yards in KC and 6-8 TDs. Just depends on how fast that chemistry develops.
Lol Hopkins isn't going to be close to 1000 yds and 10 TDs. He will be lucky to have 400 yds and 5 TDs. He's not close to the same player he was even last year.

I feel like dhop will be used a lot this week against the raiders on red zone and maybe third down packages. Maybe a few go routes. Seems like a good way to quickly get someone in there who hasn’t had much time with the offense.

Jeeeez-us. Ignite the reality bomb and take a deep breath. This is is not 2018 when he played 16 games. He caught one pass for 6 yards on one target playing 44 snaps (a season high) Sunday with a "Calf-ish, Achilles area" soreness in his lower leg.

He turns 33 in June and he is not the player he was. He's a veteran player which is what the Chiefs wanted. He has to learn to play with Mahomes and they have to get the timing right. The Chiefs had to do something.

Oh, I don't know about that.

Guy is a pro's pro. Much of his game is between the ears, and that's not going to go away. He may not be as explosive as he was in his prime, but the presence of Worthy and Hardman along with Kelce means defenses will have problems in man, so it'll be a lot of Hopkins and Kelce splitting zones with Worthy threatening deep and Hardman threatening sideline to sideline.

I'm sure they'll ease him in somewhat, but I expect Hopkins to pick up the offense a lot faster than most having been in several systems.

He was playing with Will fucking Levis. How about we see him play here before we declare anything.

500 yards would be a god send.

I'd take him just being a reliable red zone target.

So did Calvin Ridley magically fall off a cliff coincidentally at the same time, or does their qb just flat out suck in the new system?

Don't be ignorant. He easily could have resigned Donovan Smith, or another veteran, before the season or any time sense.

And LT is the most important spot on the offensive line.

Mahomes also doesn't need a third ankle injury because the LT shouldn't be out there. Mahomes does need time to throw the football and go through his progressions.

But, sure, let's stop trying to get it right since we already failed so many times. Yep. That's smart.

I think what will be interesting is how the chiefs use him in man. He’s not a traditional man beater. You kinda half to chuck up some contested throws and trust dhop to finish the catch. Mahomes hasn’t done that before, then again he’s never really had a target like this.

Defenses have had way too much success on us when they press man so if dhop can at the very least solve for that, it’s a huge win. Don’t care what the numbers look like

D-Hop beats man coverage by running precise routes and pushing off at the last second to get separation. He's made it an art.

Hopkins has 11 games in the regular season here. Call it 10.5 for the short week this week. He could easily average 60 yards a game. That puts him at about 650 yards, maybe 3-5 TDs as a Chief. To me that’s being conservative. This an offense that moves the ball pretty well and I will expect a decent amount of targets for him.
