MVS + CJ95 = 40m
Adding a high quality WR to play opposite Rice while keeping Sneed is about that same cost.
Slide Omenihu into CJ95s role and get 80-90% of what Jones brings to this team and thank Stone cold for everything he’s done for the organization.

We hopefully can, but if we can't sign him, Veach will tag him and listen to offers. I hope we keep him, but if he is unreasonable and someone throws us a great deal, Veach will absolutely pull the trigger. [Reply]

You can absolutely sign Sneed to a second contract.
You just can't do that AND sign Chris Jones to a top of the market third contract.
I mean you COULD, but it's probably not wise. [Reply]

It really depends. If they could get him on a 3 year deal that's backloaded and has a way out in year 3 they might. And giving a backloaded 5 year deal to Sneed would be in play.
Maybe a Jones deal looks like a 3 year 82 million deal with a $15 million cap hit year 1, $22 million year 2 and $45 million year 3 (which he would be cut with big cap savings).
I really don't know what they're gonna do with WR FA but it seems like they need one more solid guy to go with a top draft pick.
I think you offer Chris what you did before. $27.25 is so generous man. But keep in mind that take a WR1 off the board in FA [Reply]
Anyone else's porn for the week the McDuffie hit on Hill followed by the Sneed "It wasn't a block; it was a jam "?
Oh my. So incredible. The way this entire team tackles and rallies to the ball. They went into a top-5 cold game in NFL history and were fearless and physical. So proud of what Spags and Veach created here. [Reply]

short deals make it difficult to float cap hits, I don't know, man.
Maybe.
I personally don't think they need to go pay a FA WR1 anyway. (Shocking from me, I know).
They need a guy, actually they need 2, but it doesn't have to be an elite guy at an elite price. They need a steady, dependable veteran, and they need a vertical threat. [Reply]

To me, you gotta keep Sneed. He and Mcduffie are just dynamite together. [Reply]

I think this defense goes from top-5 to like 20-25 if we lose Jones and Sneed.
They are both such force multipliers at their positions. Sneed especially allows the entire secondary to function. I can't understand losing him. Tag him if needed. [Reply]
You’re getting prime athletic years in the new deal, as well.
Hopefully he’s willing to accept a fair offer, which is to be paid the highest aav and guaranteed $ in a 5 year deal with the first 2 years fully guaranteed. He’s earned it and I think he brings that kind of value to the defense. And shows no reason for that to change in the future.
I know we can draft CBs like no other…if we lose him in FA, so be it. The position will still be a strength. But this defense is at its best with Sneed straight mugging opposing #1 WRs at the line and then being a blanket over them all game while Karlaftis and the rest of the front 7 pressure the QB.
I was ok losing Ward, even though I was a big fan.
Losing Sneed would be a huge blow to the defense in big games. [Reply]

Rice put all the questions about if we should sign a top tier WR in free agency to rest. Sign a solid reciever but not a top tier. Sign Sneed long term and Jones to a reasonable deal if he will accept. Bri g back Gay and Tranquil! Sign Bolton long term and Creed! [Reply]
