There's something about MMA contracts that is enforceable. Rampage tried to fight with the UFC (he thought Bellator breached the contract, making him a free agent), but the court ruled that his contract with Bellator was still valid, and because it was still valid, the court prevented him from fighting with the UFC. Someone brought up another fact on this silly Conor rumor. Even if he wasn't under contract, there is not an athletic commission in the United States that would sanction a bout between a 49-0 world champion, and a fighter with a record of 0-0. [Reply]

First thing I thought of when I read this rumor. [Reply]
But IMO this isn't about him boxing, it's about him trying to prove to the ufc they aren't the only way he would ever be in the position he's in right now financially.
Funny it's the same amount that he was getting for diaz... [Reply]
Dana laughed off the rumor in an interview and said its not true.
Some clever reporter contacted Bovada, and they said that if this fight actually happened, they would set the opening line at Floyd -2000, Conor +900 [Reply]

The Sun is not the most reliable source in the world, but Conor's coach is dropping hints on twitter, so...
Dumb if it were to actually happen. Mayweather would kill him in a boxing match. Well, it may not be a killing by MMA standards, but Mayweather would win every rd by outpointing the #!@% out of him. [Reply]
I would bet Mayweather at -50000. I highly doubt McGregor has boxing skills on par with the 50th ranked welterweight in the world, let alone Mayweather. [Reply]

keep in mind, lines are set based on how they think people will bet. You gotta keep the stupid horde of Irish fans in mind, you might not need much more than +900 to attract money on his side. [Reply]
Overeem dropped Arlovski with a jumping front kick to the chin. All the Dutch fighters on the main card dominated, the crowd was going bananas. [Reply]
