They aren’t due for squat. Even Q Joe’s favorite source PFF had them as the 28th-ranked roster before the draft, with KC #1.
People think the Broncos have closed the gap because the scores were close. There’s clearly still a big gap. KC went up 27-0 in the first half of the first matchup and then went into cruise control. You can tell they don’t get fired up to play the Broncos anymore. They go through the motions. [Reply]

They may not make the playoffs but they won't be pushovers either. They can be competitive enough to be a disrupter and ruin someone's Sunday/season if it came down to it.
Payton at least won't lose them games. There will be more stability within the locker room and he wont allow the bottom to fall out.
Payton has yet to prove he can field a decent team without a top 5 QB. [Reply]
Maybe so. Do they have any passrushers that are worth a shit. And no, Knowshit, Browning isn't the answer. I don't see anyone on their roster that will get double digit sacks. [Reply]

He spent a decade plus trying to field even a pop Warner defense because he ignored it so much. Now he has a Denver team with a severe lack of talent on both sides of the ball [Reply]

:-). You mean that you don't have confidence in Radio to field a top 5 defense?? Knowshit won't be pleased to hear that. He's probably expecting to see the 85 Bears defense this season. [Reply]
