Dante84 07:19 PM 04-27-2017
IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Because you are lying.

There wad no one directly between him and the wr. They just showed the play on espn axis.

The defenders were running away from the wr. Did you expect them to jump backwards?

Your bias is showing sandy, put that shit away.
Bias is showing by just about every poster, on either side.

Trying to be objective here, but I thought that Alex Smith was really sharp, Tyler Bray was better than most will admit, and the praise for Mahomes is too effusive.

Hell, I liked his throw into the end zone where the receiver was double covered. The guy didn't catch it, but the ball was, somehow, safely thrown into double coverage.

I am staring right at it. You are out of your mind, or just trolling me.

If no one was covering Kemp as Mahomes threw it? Sure.. I can get that... but that "no one there" sure changed quickly, as #32 was right on Kemp as the ball plopped in. Had #32 adjusted like most starters would, he'd have had an equal or better chance at the ball.

You can argue it to death, but that's enough said from me on it. Agree or not, that is the reality of this play.

The other thing I'll note, while I didn't see Trubisky and Kizor, so I can't compare their games, but I did see Watson, and I thought that Bill O'Brien did a better job of putting Watson in position to succeed.

I didn't see this but he pump faked out of his first read that was covered. Awesome
I thought, 'how could he miss that badly?', but watching this video clip - Dieters starts moving across the field right as Mahomes starts his throw then stops again. Ball ends up where he would have been if he hadn't stopped.

I agree.

I admitted as much last night in the game thread.

He did some very encouraging things for it being his first game. Holding the ball instead of throwing it to his first read on his incompletion (pump)
. He looked calm when with a rush in his face.

Great ball placement on the pi at the goal line and the td. Good velocity on the throw that needed it.

He under threw his long pass by a couple yards , he threw to high to Escobar (who didn't help at all) and he threw erratic after pumping.

Butt all in all he looked the part of a high pick.

No sense in over analyzing it. I don't care who was in what position. I watched it live and then watched the replay that followed. That's enough for me. He was somewhat lucky and it wouldn't have worked against the starters in my opinion. It looked like a college play. I'm sure there are a lot of people who see it this way. The fact you guys attack people for this opinion is downright funny.

You're becoming absolutely unbearable, Sandy. Just knitpicking for any little flaw you can find because you do what Mahomes to fail deep down.

He isn't even taking Alex's job yet, and you are still looking for the tiniest little flaws in every play. :-)

I agree. Watson will be playing with the ones soon. At least he got to play with the twos. He looked great to me.

once again espn axis just showed it from directly behind mahomes (i recorded it ) and there was no one between them.

32 was past him running away from the wr and tried to jump back wards into the play. He had no chance

If the (ours included) starters were in - he would not have been scrambling to make a touch throw.
