PFF column today on the 6 best free agent signings so far. Omenihu in 2nd after Hargrave. Guess which big-spending team didn't make the cut? (hint: rhymes with 'the Donks')
EDGE CHARLES OMENIHU SIGNED BY THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Contract: Two years, $20,000,000
Frank Clark may have been known for turning it on in the playoffs, but he had been remarkably ineffective overall for Kansas City since they traded for him, and moving on from him made a lot of sense. Rookie George Karlaftis generated some pressure last season, but almost all of it was slow-developing or hustle plays.
Charles Omenihu has now recorded a PFF pass-rushing grade of at least 75.6 in back-to-back seasons and posted 62 pressures last year for the 49ers, six more than anybody on the Chiefs managed from the edge. For $10 million a season, Omenihu is a great value addition who could easily be the team’s best edge rusher. [Reply]

I think his days of getting big $ are done... I could see him signing a few 1-2 year deals for the max he can get and closing out his career with 2-3 teams. [Reply]

Only if Rodgers retires after this year. Even if he does, he's probably also going to have to miss a bunch of games to win less games than Tater Wilson. [Reply]

If only you’d put your posting privileges on the line to prove your point. But you won’t, because you don’t actually believe anything that you say. Pussy, bitch! [Reply]
Just now realizing that the Donks play the Jets this season!
How glorious is it going to be for us Chiefs fans to watch Aaron Rodgers and Nathaniel Hackett boat race them?!?
Not only that, but the Jets will be paying both of those guys a fraction of what Denver paid Russ, Hackett, and now Sean 'Salary Cap Destroyer' Payton. AND they'll have likely given up WAY less than half of the draft capital/players to pull it all off!
Man, what a great freaking time to be a Chiefs fan! It just keeps getting better and better! :-)
