Nzoner's Game Room>*****The Wanya Morris Thread*****
Dante84 08:43 PM 04-28-2023
More to come!

Wanya Morris was drafted with pick 92 of round 3 in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 8.35 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 215 out of 1294 OT from 1987 to 2023. https://t.co/KnzoH8NdfS pic.twitter.com/KZgxtMNcfb

Pick 95: Wanya Morris OT OU

The competition at RT isn't eye popping but it may be enough to feel comfortable to not reach. Adding another hat to the ring may be the move.

Morris has the length and natural movement the Chiefs often look for at OT. Clean up his hands & thrive pic.twitter.com/tDDr7f22NC

Which one of you invited Wanya's mum to the forum? Not cool.

It’s Battered Bitch Syndrome.

There are Chiefs fans willing to blindly defend any Chiefs player… no matter their incompetence.

He was terrible. It may be that there is a competent LT in there waiting to be developed, but I don't think anyone is going to be able to give him the time. Very early to write off Kingsley as well but there's a baseline level of "probably won't get the QB killed" needed to give them a chance to develop, and neither have come close to that threshold

Could absolutely see Morris as an OK-ish swing tackle to hold on to, and Kingsley as a competent guard. Could equally see both of them off the roster sooner than expected.

Question for those who liked Kingsley coming out (I wasnt that familiar) but was his hand usage THAT bad?

Kingsley doesn’t move his feet.
Wanya doesn’t use his hands.

I’d prefer to develop Kingsley as I think there is a real player in there. Wanya is a below average tackle, he always will be. He will be a back up guard until he leaves us as a free agent.

How has our oline development been so bad lately? Creed and smith were great. Smith hasn’t been as good lately. Taylor can’t figure out how to lineup properly. Kingsley and wanya are fucking lost. Did we loose someone ago develop lineman?

“Morris allowed 11 pressures on 48 pass-blocking snaps, the most by a Chiefs left tackle in a game since he allowed 12 pressures in Week 16 of 2023, also against the Raiders.”

This alone right here should be enough to assure he never sees the field as a tackle on this team again, but I can guarantee you will.

Bro I hate to give credit to Oakland but wtf. Their pass rush has been relentless vs the Chiefs for a couple years now. Mahomes gets destroyed in these match ups. It has to stop. Not to mention look at the edge rushers on deck. TJ Watt, Mack, Bosa, Garrett, Will Anderson. Is Mahomes gonna make it out of December alive? Gotta get the running game going.

It’s early to say but man I do miss Orlando Brown Jr. He looked like Willie Roaf compared to these kids.

People didn’t like it because they wanted elite but some of us that wanted to keep obj wanted to do it more because of positional value and opportunity cost

If you have a solid LT….you keep him. Probably overpay. Because there just aren’t that many people that can do that out there

I got screamed at for wanting to extend OBJ.

Well, we're saving cap dollars, but now we've pissed away a 3rd and a 2nd. And possibly more to come in the future.

Of course, that was before OBJ pulled his dumbass holdout shenanigans by getting a n00b agent who's trying to take the fast track to being a desirable agent for future clients.

We offered him way more than Cincy put out. Guess which one he chose because he was butthurt.

Fuck OBJ with a pogo stick. Foxtail faggot.

He is leading the league in pass block win rate.

**** OBJ with a pogo stick. Foxtail bundle of sticks.
Yeah he is a complete fucking fool for how he handled his time here. The guy would have been the highest or one of the highest paid OTs in the league, but decided to be a bitch instead.
