This is horrifying. Supposed to be a press conference soon with more details. Rumors seem to indicate it happened on the Verrukt, the world's tallest waterslide.
The old joke is that a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich if you let them.
I'm a little surprised that the judge didn't just go with harmless error here and call it a day. I'd be shocked if the AG's office can't just impanel a new GJ and get their true bill.
I mean I'll be honest - I think they were just piling on with some of that stuff. They could've avoided introducing any of that evidence and still gotten their indictment. But it would appear the judge disagrees with me. [Reply]
hopefully they were dismissed without prejudice so they can be refiled at a later date. They do deserve to be held accountable for their negligence. [Reply]

I don't believe the petit jury was ever empaneled so jeopardy shouldn't have attached and the dismissal almost certainly would've been without prejudice. I can't see anything to indicate otherwise. [Reply]

No. Ride hasn’t operated since the accident and it’s being torn down I believe?
The park has likely taken a huge financial hit from which it may never recover. [Reply]
