Sat with Terry Bradshaw for a bit. Interesting comments on Sean Payton, his co-worker for the past year at FOX. Said Payton didn't want to go to Arizona bc of the QB. Also said he didn't want to go to Denver bc of the QB! Ultimately he took that job in spite of Russ.

Sean Payton is kind of the opposite. Oh, Sean wants to be able to run the ball, but he can operate his offense with a minimal amount of running. He never leaned into the run game the way Shanahan always has. And Payton's passing attack is more advanced than Shanahan's. Finally, Sean will give his QB opportunities to make bigger plays than what the original concept asks for.
Shanahan pretty much doesn't allow his QBs to do that sort of thing. He wants to dictate exactly when and where the QB will take a shot, otherwise he's not a fan of the QB taking those kinds of risks.
I get that I was just speaking to smart offensive coaches that were not going to adapt.
I don't see Payton creating a whole new offense for Russ the way Daboll did for Allen or Steichen did for Hurts. [Reply]
#Broncos HC Sean Payton has already shown Russell Wilson clips of what Drew Brees has done really well in his system and Payton thinks they have a lot of common traits.
He also wants the salary cap abolished so that his Great Value owners can just try and buy a SB as there is no other way for that franchise to be relevant. [Reply]

Yah, Payton won't recreate an offense from the ground up for Russ. He's going to try and get Russ to operate on time, be more like Brees. The offense won't be as advanced as what Brees worked with, but the concepts will be similar.
Personally, I doubt Russ will be able to make the conversion. [Reply]

:-) I love how Knowmo is destroying his own narrative that having Penner bucks means fuck all when it comes to building and developing a perennial contender. [Reply]

Good God, your talking smack about a NLFPA report card a couple of weeks after the team your talking smack about won it's 2nd Super Bowl in 4 years. I guess you really don't have anything else you can run your mouth about.
For me, this would be the time I just gave up. If that's the best you got, then damn just go get euthanized. [Reply]
