Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

Nonsense, absolute nonsense. No coach is going to jeopardize a playoff run by switching QB's in the absence of injury or a complete 5 game losing skid. [Reply]

That isn't the full dialogue but it is the main point. Lines up with what Lou Riddick said. [Reply]
I watched Watson last night. He was really good. Made plays.
But there was a deep throw he made where you could tell he had to throw his entire body into it to get it there, and there was no accuracy as a result. Receiver had no chance.
I saw that and I was pretty much "yup...we made the right choice." [Reply]

He overthrew pretty much every shot he took over 15-20 yards. There were at least 3-4 of those. I was unimpressed.
He had a few plays here and there. He looks like he added some mass to his frame though. Statistically he had a good night, but he had his share of errant passes and downright overthrows. [Reply]
It ain't rocket science. If Mahomes is really that good he'll play. You aren't going to figure that out from a bunch of training camp drills where there's no fear because he can't be hit.
There's no way he's going to play if Andy has any doubt about it. Doesn't matter if it's week 1 or week 10. The last thing you want to do is throw him out there then have to bench him for Smith because he just can't cut it. That's usually not a good road to go down, and how you end up like Alex Smith. Not shocking from a rookie. Still glad we got Mahomes. Time will tell. [Reply]
What would DJ know about good QB play? All he's done is play with shit at the position since the day he was drafted.
I'm happy he's happy though. :-) [Reply]
