Okay, here is a place for the Golfers to talk about tournaments, clubs, swing help or thoughts.
Today is the Players Championship, which I think ought to be the 5th Major. Largest pot in the PGA. The daunting 17th, which seems to bring excitement every year. At least we will get to see Sergio blow up yet again.
A good round by Tiger. Sits at +1 for the tournament. There were some high scores from favorites that shows how difficult the course played. Scheffler is on fire and is 5 strokes ahead of the field. [Reply]
Tiger being in the top 20 after two rounds is incredible. Has no real chance to win due to Scheffler largely (who has easily been the best player in the world over the past 6 months), but no shame in that. [Reply]

Yeah, Scheffler seems to be unbeatable. Tomorrow is supposed windy, dry and fast. That can really shake things up. [Reply]

Scottie seems like a player that in 3 years will drop to relative obscurity after this obscene run ends. Similar to Koepka and never to be heard from again. [Reply]

Has anyone been to Big Cedar in the Ozarks? Got a golf trip planned for over Fathers Day in June with a bunch of guys (8 of us) and we aren't staying on property. That means we can only schedule tee times when we are 30 days out. I keep looking online for under 30 days tee times and it shows none available. I'm getting a little concerned about us being able to get on the courses when our trip comes up.
Just wanted to see if anyone had experience with going & getting tee times.
Stay there every summer. And you can’t get onto Top If The Rock unless you book way in advance or are willing to pay like $200 for your round. There are nearby courses like Buffalo Ridge or the new Tiger course. Tigers course sits on the old Murder Rock, which was a great course and was $50 to play.
Ridge and Rock were both bought by Bass Pro founder Johnnie Morris in 2013. He immediately closed Rock, jacked up the price in Ridge, and built Too Of The Rock which is insanely expensive. (Tigers new course which Morris developed ain’t cheap either)
Morris is a douchebag catering to wealthy boomers and has priced out families looking to play golf down there. [Reply]

He's 25 years old, so I'm going to guess no on that.
Koepka is also top 20 in the world right now as it is. [Reply]

Thanks for the info. We've got a place through VRBO to stay at, but I looked at staying on property to be able to book tee times. It was ridiculously expensive.
I'll look around at some of the other courses and see what looks good. Got 4 days of golf to fill [Reply]
