Chicken broth, eh? surprising but I wont doubt you
Cornstarch, total Chinese secret... good on you
Now, sesame oil?... thats the shiite, its been missing from my fridge for much too long, used to use it for egg rolls, crab rangoon, and a quick way to turn ramen into something special
That dish looked awesome, thanks for posting it up... need to get back to my Chinese cooking [Reply]
Didn't have any beef broth, then remembered that I used chicken broth in a French onion soup recipe once and was amazed how beefy it got. Same concept works here the soy sauce and sassme oil gives it all the flavor it really needs [Reply]

Dark sesame oil at that. It is awesome for Asian cooking and really good for you. [Reply]
I had a great aunt that made a soup she called "garbage soup" that had damn near everything in it; small chucks of potatoes, frozen peas, frozen carrots, frozen green bean halves, corn, minced onions, small chucks of beef, zucchini, tomatoes, and she would break up spaghetti into thirds and add it as well.
The best homemade soup I've ever had and your picture reminded me of it.
