Really the only way to beat Mahomes for them would be in a shootout.
Slippery turf in Phoenix helped slow them down a couple years ago. Also Orlando Brown in 2022 to early 2023 was a better Left Tackle than anyone who has played at the position for the Chiefs this season. You also have some vulnerability with Caliendo at Left Guard because of Thuney playing Left Tackle at the moment.
I don't like that matchup of Caliendo with Jalen Carter. If it looks ugly in the first half, Andy might have to give DJ Humphries a chance to save the team in the 2nd half. Move Thuney back to LG to shutdown Jalen Carter on the inside, and hope like hell that Humphries can do a solid job on the left edge. [Reply]
I can't see the Eagles kicking FGs. Sirianni is a bit of a lunatic, their kicking game has been iffy most of the season.
I'll say 27-21 KC. They're gonna try to shorten the game with Saquon and will have some success with that. I think Andy will take the points a couple times with Butker.
It feels like it's gonna be a griiiiiiiiind. [Reply]

Holy shit. I didn't realize just how perfect it is to play the Bills then the Eagles for the 3peat.
And that's just because of Andy/Pat. You also have Worthy, McDuffie, Wentz, etc. lol [Reply]
I'll say this -- it also kinda feels like Mahomes has moved beyond those early game jitters he had earlier in his post-season career.
He's come out absolutely on point the last few playoff games he's played, IIRC. I think we'll see that again.
Getting the TD on that initial first 15 would sure be a big damn deal and I think he's up for the task. And Fangio is just !@#$ing stubborn enough that he's not gonna do what the Bills did and sell out to stop Kelce. No, he's gonna go with the ol' "We're going to be who we are..." mantra and I think Kelce gets the first score of the ballgame for KC. [Reply]

Sirianni needs to be punished for talking shit last year, and the entire organization needs to be punished for firing Reid.
Andy's going to rip their still-beating hearts out and shit on them (again). :-) [Reply]
Coaching advantage is going to show in the second half no matter how the first half goes.
I know 10-pt leads have been a bad omen for our SB opponents, but I think Philly HAS to jump out ahead. And that's a big ask for a team that struggled mightily to score first quarter TDs this year.
But I don't think they can go into half tied or down and expect to win this game. At all. [Reply]

Our offense hasn't played a good 1st half in any SB yet. I believe 10 points was the most we scored (that was the first 49ers Super Bowl). The offense scored a combined 26 points at halftime between the four games. It's crazy that we won three of these games.
The Eagles have jumped on their playoff opponents so far this season (due to turnovers). We haven't seen them play from behind. We usually relax when ahead but I'm feeling we won't play around with a lead and a chance to threepeat. [Reply]
