The Chiefs latest dynasty run was a direct product of the Tyreek trade. Now money is tight, draft resources are slim, and the young players from Veach's great recent drafts are getting to the age to be paid so will be leaving soon. And that's aside from the glaring need for a franchise LT.
Any chance we could get back what makes it worthwhile to give him up this offseason? [Reply]

I don’t think people are overreacting. I don’t see many people who think we need to blow everything up.
There are a few realities though.
We have a lot of starters who are free agents and now more than ever, we probably aren’t going to bring a lot of them back
We don’t have a lot of picks to fill those holes. And we can spend a little of cap but we’d prefer not to overdo it.
We have a huge situation at LT and seemingly few reasonable options to fix it
I don’t think anyone disagrees with any of that [Reply]
Well if we’re gonna go batshit and have fun, I’ll throw my hat into the ring….Trent McDuffie for Jahmyr Gibbs, maybe each side works out pick swaps too or what ever.

That's not good. It's not good at all.
Overcoaching at its finest.
2018-2020 Mahomes lets that rip without hesitation and ties the game.
Those kind of plays happen all the time with him nowadays. You can pull up All-22 footage from nearly every game the last two years and find examples of him doing that exact same thing.
I don’t know how this mentality shift happened with him but it needs to be unlearned. [Reply]

I saw Patrick Mahomes turn into Alex Smith in real time. That play where he held onto the ball with plenty of time in the pocket and checked down instead of throwing it deep to Worthy should worry everyone here. That’s extremely concerning. And no I don’t care about the bomb he had to Worthy later. It meant nothing. The game was over.
This staff has effectively taken the gunslinger out this kid and damaged his entire mentality. The last 2 years have done tremendous damage to Mahomes that needs to be fixed now or it could ruin him. He plays scared now.
LT is by far the 2nd most important position on a team, especially a team that is coached by Andy Reid.
So yes. As the post stated. IF Andy and Veach love a LT prospect I would do it. Happily. Twice over if it fixes this mess. This staff has made me very desperate.
Dude.
You don't need to mortgage the strongest resources the team has to get Mahomes to throw the ball deep.
Mahomes should just do that. Period.
Now please don't misunderstand, I didn't say "don't put resources into the OL". I'm saying that no matter how many resources, new weapons, new coaches you throw at Mahomes, the only thing thats truly going to get Mahomes out of "playing scared" is Mahomes.
It's primarily his responsibility to figure that out. [Reply]

If you ignore those major differences, then yes, the exact same reactions. [Reply]

Revisionist history to suggest that most people at the time thought that Tyreek was a cornerstone piece who was untradeable. [Reply]

Jesus fucking Christ. No way. This is stupider than a pile of BWillie. [Reply]
