LG is the latest electronics manufacturer to announce they will no longer be making Blu-ray players.

I don't think it has anything to do with being "cheap". I have a 2020 Infiniti and a 2022 Lexus and neither have an aux port. The expectation is that there will be Bluetooth devices. Most phones don't even have a headphone jack/audio out anymore.

I know. I was being a bit facetious. It's just a little frustrating when you fall into the atypical customer category.

It's true, I bought a new phone over the summer, no headphone jack.

I have a vintages Yamaha receiver and good Polk speakers and a technics modern turntable.

Luckily between the wife and I we have a solid collection of original Vinyl kept from our teen years. (my mostly punk and nu-wave, her hip-hop) and one of our kids buys records now.

When I bought records they were 5.99. Now a new album is like 30 bucks. that's a lot of grip for one record.

But it makes for good holiday gifts if someone you know likes vinyl.

I always hit the record section in thrift stores. Smells like lung cancer but you find some interesting things.

Try being into thrashcore where they press an EP of 8 30 second songs on a 45" record

You have to flip the record before you can get back to your chair to sit down

Most aren't on a streaming platform like Spotify though so not trying to sound cool just showcasing how shitty my taste in music is

Try discogs.com. I've gotten a lot of rare and hard to find metal albums there.
