No, but it's a great way to draw a flag and gain a cheap 15 yds.
Honestly, I'm at the point where I think QBs should be fined for late slides. Or, just make it so QBs can't run. All the fake sliding and faking going out of bounds puts defenders in an impossible situation, imo. And you're asking the defender to do something stupid/irrational, which is to protect another player. It's hard enough to protect yourself on a football field, but now defensive players have to protect runners, in particular QBs, as well. It isn't fair. [Reply]

What plays have people faked going oob? Running to the sideline then up the field is not a fake. Slowing down is not a fake. Everyone whining about pat doing those things is dumb.
I do think they need to get rid of the slide. Make players defend themselves. Giving themselves up is causing the issue. Especially at full speed of nfl athletes.
Only thing that was garbage was his use of the elbow to the head. [Reply]

I didn't mention Pat. Wasn't even thinking about Pat. I was thinking about Josh, I think.
But whatever. My point is that QBs in general are putting defenders in impossible situations by faking slides/oging oob. It isn't fair and it's making the game worse, not better. [Reply]
