THEFT TARGET Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s homes burglarized within hours of each other during Kansas City Chiefs game weekend
The twin incidents happened as the Chiefs prepared for a Monday Night Football showdown
The Kansas City Chiefs stars each had break-ins at their mansions on the same weekend.
According to Cass County Sheriff's Office documents obtained by TMZ, the incidents happened early in October. Neither the players nor the police have said what, if anything, was taken from their homes.
A burglary was reported at Mahomes' estate at around midnight on October 6. And Kelce's house was broken into on October 7, the police records said.
Kansas City had a game against the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium on October 7. It's unclear whether the players or anybody else was home during the respective incidents.
Spoiler!
NFL teams often stay at hotels the night before a game.
An investigation into the matter is still ongoing, per TMZ.
Mahomes bought land in Belton, Missouri, in 2020 and set about building his dream home.
The build was documented on the Netflix show Quarterback and ended last year.
It came complete with his own private football field and golf hole in his backyard.
"I signed a 10-year contract extension because I wanted to be here in Kansas City and in this organization," the quarterback explained on the Netflix show.
"So when I did that I thought I might as well build the exact house that I want.
"I'm here to be in Kansas City for the long term. I'm part of Chiefs Kingdom and this house embodies that."
Kelce, meanwhile, moved to a home in Leawood, Kansas in November 2023.
He sought extra security and privacy after the increased scrutiny of his relationship with Taylor Swift.
The tight end spent $6 million on the secluded mansion.
Swift was at the Week 5 game in Kansas City when both Mahomes and Kelce's homes were burglarized.
Kansas City won that game 26-13 in front of their home fans at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs have started the season a perfect 9-0 in their bid for an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl win.

Think of all the cool shit those guys must have in their homes. Definitely going to require more than one burglary to get a decent chunk of it. [Reply]

They go by the Wet Bandits or Sticky Bandits these days? It’s hard to keep track. [Reply]
Happened upon this thread. I had to call the cops this morning @ 4 AM as a gentleman was attempting to break down my front door. I was able to stall him and keep him from busting the deadbolt, and cops showed up pretty quick. I'm right at State Line on the Leawood side by 150, so not far from Loch Loyd. Dunno if related or not, the guy was definitely on something based off what he had started yelling at me when i turned the front porch light on. [Reply]
Would you be security for mahomes during games but you had to miss the game to keep watch or would it not be worth it to miss a game? That’s rough for me. Can watch it recorded later I suppose [Reply]
