"Everyone is such cry babies. They drafted Todd Blackledge in 1983. The next quarterback drafted by the Chiefs to win not a playoff game, one game, was Patrick Mahomes, and I've got to listen to people be like, 'Oh, you're so lucky. Shut up.'" @getnickwright defends Chiefs fans… pic.twitter.com/z7C7An3lQ3

I just don't think people can come to grips with the way the Chiefs win. First one, they were outplayed in the first 2.5 quarters and were average at best defensively. Same w/ 2nd one, but were improving defensively, last year also took a while to cook offensively. SInce they haven't dominated a SB game, and haven't been winning w/ style points, they get short shrift...not that i care, it's a bit annoying though. [Reply]

Yep. Thirty years ago and beyond they would have just been screaming at their walls or other drunks in a bar. Now, every one of them has an instant voice on social media.
Also, back in the hey day of the Steelers/49ers/Cowboys dynasties, they were mostly watching football on 19" TVs. Those missed/bad calls that everybody sees in crystal clarity in slow motion replay on giant screens were almost always missed by the viewing public. There also wasn't a fraction of the media coverage we have now. Hell, I didn't know about that cooking spray shit Denver pulled in the '98 game until years later. [Reply]
Love Nick Wright! He is right - 30 years of pain and suffering by us CHIEFS fans. We all have felt this. Now, the game has changed and we have a TEAM winning it all - let the haters hate! CHIEFS are and have been for REAL! Jealousy was expected! EAT IT HATERS! WE welcome it! :-) [Reply]
I hated nick wright when he was on 610 for the most part. I thought he was a Jim Rome ripoff….. it not gonna lie, I enjoy how he dunks on people these days.
He’s right….a lot of us suffered decades of football pain. Let’s enjoy this.
Chiefs vs everyone.
They talked shit in i
Us when we were bad. They talked shit on the chiefs when they were good. Suck balls if you hate the chiefs.
I enjoy the hell out of their MaPenis envy. [Reply]

You and me both. Thats the cool thing about this place. We all suffered through the bad teams, coaches and GM's. Absolutely horrific playoff losses etc. We get to enjoy these salad days with our fellow Chief fans that we have suffered through together. [Reply]

Circumstances are different with New England & the Chiefs so the arguments for why in terms of hate differ but the truth is they both boil down to they hate us b/c they ain't us.
Live it up b/c 15 years will come & go before we know it when we're onto our version of Drake Maye hopefully after another 4-5 Super Bowls & frankly given how great PM is I don't think that's an absurd estimate although it could certainly be screwed up post Andy Reid.
The haters bring me pleasure b/c we all know what's going on here. [Reply]
