I've had this idea for an annual draft game that I thought we'd give a try if you guys are interested!? I thought it would be fitting to name it in memory of the legendary CP'er that our favorite fan forum is named after to continue in the tradition set forth by Staylor's CP Mock Draft.
The game is "pick 3" players for each round that you think our Chiefs will take, and whoever gets the most correct wins. In 2024 we'll choose 6 players in the 5th and 0 in the 6th per our current draft schedule. You can edit up until the start of the draft.
*EDIT: Rank your choices accordingly per round, we'll reference this in the event of a tie. Secondarily, we'll give consideration for having the right player in the wrong round if necessary.
1st Prize is a Chiefs cap! ...assuming you're comfortable providing an address for me to ship it to.
Awesome! Stoked to have you guys participate! Maybe we keep building on this and it becomes something cool, holler out any suggestions you might have! [Reply]

Just keep it simple ... most picks that ended up on the team then tiebreaker by round hit or something. Don't get too extravagant its just for giggly shits anyhow. [Reply]

I was thinking along the same lines but having it add a pick each round so 1 selection in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd, 3 in the 3rd, etc. Almost a "call your shot" exercise though at that point. [Reply]
1) Later rounds are worth more bc of greater difficulty
2) Picking the right player in the wrong round is worth 1/2 points if 1 round apart, 1/4 if 2 rounds or greater [Reply]
I think I should get credit for basically getting the position correct in the first two round. But only me, no one else gets bonus points for that.
I also think I deserve full credit for the Jared Wiley pick given that we traded away the 3rd that I slotted him in at. Again, only I should get credit for this one.
That all seems fair! And I think that effectively makes me the winner! [Reply]

No doubt. Ultimately, it was just for fun and more participation was needed to produce a clear winner but we'll try for the sake of fun AND a championship hat! [Reply]
Curious what you guys think about whether this game would work if draft-heads from other teams were also invited to guess their own teams draft picks?
Some teams like this year's Bears would seemingly have it easier with very few picks in high positions, but less options than say the 49'ers who had more chances to pick correctly with their 10 or so slots this year.
If there were a website that allowed you to choose from the consensus big board, provided odds per team, and automatically analyzed the results I wonder if it would work on a larger scale for say $5 entry fee or whatever...daydreaming from the office a bit today lol [Reply]
