First - I am writing this without having watched - only listened to half of the 2nd quarter and half of the 3rd. Had to go on an airport run.
Second - we were going to lose at some point, we were fortunate our first loss wasn't last week, yes we made a play at the end of the game but the odds of a FG block ar astronomical. Unfortunate that the first loss comes against Buffalo but we still hold a one game lead against them for the #1 Seed. Buffalo still has to play the 49ers and the Lions of which could be at least one loss. Our schedule is much easier as far as opponents I am concerned with only Denver and the Steelers. I would rather lose to Buffalo now than in the playoffs.
The INT by Pat was just horrible. I get the pocket was collapsing around him but he needs to get better about air mailing passes. Have seen too many of those in the past couple of weeks. Glad to see the rest of the game wasn't
Worthy was the entire first scoring drive (except the Mike Caliendo for 5 yards :-)). It was almost as if the Chiefs decided to showcase the WR Buffalo traded to them. What a great drive for Worthy 4 receptions for 61 yards and a TD.
Noah Gray with his first multi touchdown game. Hendershot with another catch. I feel like he has made more of a difference with this offense than Wiley has.
The Defense seems to want to blitz Allen from the right side forcing him to his right, which is a huge mistake. Allen can make all the throws rolling to his right. Gotta find the way to pressure him and force him to the left.
N. Johnson got picked on quite a bit today but he managed to have a decent game despite this. The more experience he gets the better we will be as we approach the playoffs. Tied for team lead in tackles with 8 (Connor).
Connor had a great game got the timely INT on 4th down to give the ball back to the O which led to our second score. The Defense isn't getting home with 4 rushers. Hoping Omenihu is going to make more of a difference when he comes back.
Kinda felt like the Allen TD was a "let him score" situation so Pat could get the ball back and we could try again for the win with an onside kick or some other miracle play.
Juju really wasn't the impact I was hoping he would be coming back into the mix with Dhop and Kelce. Hoping Pacheco and Hunt can make us deadly in the running game. Worthy seemed to disappear after that first scoring drive. Hunt was running the ball well but for some reason we weren't using him during the two offensive series it was 16-14
First game in a long time where we lost the TOP 34:03/25:57 - still lost the TO battle 2/1
Didn't get a good look at the OL but they seemed to have done better as the game went on. The first Q was pretty shaky. [Reply]
The offensive game plan just convinces me even more they use every regular season game as preseason... Worthy with all the touches on one possession. Don't think Kelce even had a target(?) in the first half, down by 9 and the Chiefs look like their usual postseason-selves.
I'm sure Mahomes is also uncomfortable because of LT issues, but then it's suddenly not an issue either.
They just aren't going to the same well over and over and over for the sake of scoring 40... there's purpose beyond what we want to see.
Defense was odd since the Bills were terrible on first and second downs most of the game... 3rd and long over and over and over. Of course, Allen is going to be pretty decent at those anyway, but just a very strange feeling overall from the defense (not that any of it matters much outside of today's game). [Reply]
I went back and watched ALL the passing plays starting with our first scoring drive - of note:
The pass to worthy for 30 yards - Thuney got beat to put pressure on Pat not Wanya.
The incompletion to Kelce (overthrow) on 2nd and 4 (1st Q about 20 seconds left) the pressure came from Tre Smith who got beaten badly by Jordan Phillips.
Missed seeing the Worthy deep ball non-catch for not getting his second foot in ..ugh.
The very next play Steele missed picking up the free guy on the right edge instead opting to chip the guy Taylor was engaged with and not struggling with.
The very next play Wanya got beat by Vaughn Miller right around the edge that forced Pat to step up into the guy that was pushing Taylor back into the pocket and that is who sacked Pat.
On the Hendershot catch at the 3 yard line Pat was flushed from the pocket by the DT that beat Smith and late help from Humphrey and Perine.
The 3rd and goal TD to Grey, Wanya got beat again but didn't effect the play - was a bang- bang throw/catch.
2nd and 4 3rd Q with about 5m to go Wanya gets his hand inside the shoulder pad of the DE and gets called for holding.
2nd and 7 with about 9M to go Juju Caught a 1st down pass on a catch and run - Wanya almost let the DE blow that play up by letting his guy get past him.
On the last drive - the 2nd and 13 pass we went hurry up and Taylor got pushed back into the pocket flushing Pat out - Taylor looked exhausted - hands on hips
4th and 4 Tre Smith got beat inside flushing Pat from the pocket and Taylor got called for the hold. [Reply]

Massively shorthanded, they lost a game in one of the toughest places to play in America by a coin flip.
When the Bills lose to the Niners next week this game will be immediately forgotten and never talked about again.
Buffalo has a bye week, while the Niners don’t. Mix in typical home field advantage. Niners have a pretty bad record playing in Eastern time zone under Shanahan. Hopefully the Niners can pull a major upset. [Reply]

Maybe because it is a silly take...not even Brady was great every year.
Mahomes is still a great QB who is having a down year in comparison to the spectacular years he has had.
You probably deep down think KC should trade him for a bunch of draft picks and retool. [Reply]
I’ll say this until I’m blue in the face. This team needs to run through Mahomes. Enough with the bs that he should manage games through a great defense. Not as much veachs fault because this would be a completely different season with a healthy rashee and Hollywood… even with no dhop. But it’s still unconscionable that we’ve put almost no effort into upgrading at LT. Mahomes will ultimately be fine by end of season but it can’t be overstated that we are doing everything with a LT and WRs that nobody else in the league wants.
Hollywood and Pacheco will get us right by end of season. But next year our #1 priority is to get Mahomes right. He’s built up so many bad habits because he either doesn’t trust his protection or his WRs to hit their spots [Reply]
We had a really conservative game plan. Outside of the Worthy drive, everything was very short passes.
On some of Kareems runs the O line was moving people backwards 2-3 yards but we decided not to do that anymore.
Kareem did not get a single pass, with all the short passing why not give Kareem a chance to break some tackles and run some guys over.
The pass to the O lineman was weird. Yeah it worked but why break that out in that situation.
Why not keep Worthy going? D Hop who I believe caught that deep one was incredible but didnt get a lot of chances. Juju with only one? Not to mention Kelce?
That was the strangest game this year, all the way around. Defense was off, offense was off and even special Teams coverage was off.
It felt like we failed to match up to the intensity of the Bills, they really wanted that game. They are a good team for sure, congrats on the win but we just laid an egg today and yet still had a chance to win. [Reply]
