Apparently, without any kind of warning or notice, a moderator has decided to replace my signature with one of his or her own choosing.
Regrettably, while moderators have every right to do so, I also have the right to leave the board. During my almost six years on this forum, I have never changed my username, and I never engage in sig/avatar bets. Those items are a reflection of me and my thoughts, and if I cannot control them then I won't be staying.
I recognize that the signature isn't even offensive or demeaning to me or others, or in most respects a "big deal" at all, but the principle applies nonetheless.
And I'd imagine some will cheer the prospect of my departure. :-)
Sorry to bring this up publicly, but I have no idea who the current moderators are, as I have never paid attention to any of that. In fact, this is the first time I can remember dealing with a moderator on here.
EDIT: FALSE ALARM. I'M AN IDIOT -- IGNORE THIS THREAD. :-) [Reply]
Heh...isn't this a pretty petty thing to get all worked up about, even if it were real? Though it isn't done as much any more, mod abuse is one of the rituals of this place. [Reply]

:-) Everyone has their pet peeves. In six years I've never had a mod mess with me in any way, and I can't remember the last time I asked one for anything. I couldn't even name any, htough someone earlier mentioned Bob Dole and now that it's mentioned I remember him being a mod waaay back when. And AustinChief of course is God. Don't know any others. I never pay any attention to that stuff.
I don't change my username, it's never been changed on me, etc. etc.
To each their own. The Mods can do what they want, and I obey the rules of the forum and do what I want within those rules. Pretty simple I think. [Reply]

I think the only time a mod messed with me was when I hit 10K posts... I got all excited about hitting 10K, and I think Bob Dole (I can't really remember) bumped me back 100 posts.

Hope everything is going well with you and the rest of the Patriots Planet crew.
Thanks.
The community is doing well, but during the upgrade, Austin tried to implement a "first post" style, so that users could have the sticky first post option like you have by default here. Since then, many first posts get displayed incorrectly as a post from later in the thread, in all styles.
It is driving me nuts trying to figure it out. [Reply]

:-) I'm going to have to read this entire thread when I have some time later on. Poor Amnorix. I love the smell of blood in the water first thing in the morning. [Reply]
