Nzoner's Game Room>**** MNF Giants @ Steelers GDT ****
wazu 04:41 PM Yesterday
Steelers -6
O/U: 36.5

Time to see if Russell Wilson can get it done against the other New York team. (Although he probably won't need to do much.)

The argument is that statistically you have a higher chance of winning the game by scoring 15 than scoring 14 and winning in overtime. And if you don't get the first 2 pt conversion you still have a chance to tie it.

Russ looks somewhat reborn with Pittsburgh, damn sure not the same guy from Denver

New York teams will be 4-12 after tonight. Congrats NFL for making us fans watch this crap all season.

The worst teams in the league seem to have a lack of self-awareness, whether it is players talking too much trash on a losing team or coaches making bizarre choices.

Russ still throws a nice deep ball. A couple big time dimes tonight. Just needed to get out from under Donk apparently.

Nah, he did that often last season.

He really is the same guy from 2023.

Yeah, I don't understand the 2 point conversion logic and the formation was even harder to understand. I would think that if you are on the road, you go for the win and at home, the tie. Now they have to get the 2 point just to tie. I suppose these people aren't really rocket scientists.

Russ and the Broncos managed to score over 30 points in 2 games. There's a very real chance he does that in his first two games QBing for the Steelers.

They are using math. If football was a 162 game season playing the numbers game would make sense.

Russell definitely looks 10x more confident to me than he ever did in Denver.

With Hackett, the damage got so bad that the fans and Payton himself didn’t believe in him. Now he goes somewhere the coach and fans do believe, and the light is flickering back on.

Nah he’s playing different and more to his strengths. Payton neutered him and it shows in the YPA. Last year was his career low by a good margin and the year before was the third lowest of his career.

At the least they should filter out good QBs when looking at conversion rates.

Eh I'm not so sure about that

Why is he winning in Pittsburgh but not Denver?

The Steelers could be our biggest challengers in the AFC.

Their defense can force turnovers and the Chiefs have shown a tendency to turn the ball over.

Watt can absolutely wreck any O-line and Wayna/Kingsley are not likely to change that.

Their WRs are great at jump balls which is something our DBs haven't always defended well over the years. Wilson is great at deep balls.

Wilson isn't as good as his best Seattle days but not nearly as bad as in Denver. He has weapons to work with and gets help from the defense and special teams. They can keep a game close despite playing like shit.
