Blockbuster: Bills are finalizing a trade to send four-time Pro-Bowl WR Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for draft-pick compensation, sources tell ESPN. pic.twitter.com/5tIJGkve6t
Stefon Diggs had a $27.854M 2024 salary cap number with the Bills. There's $31.096M in 2024 dead money because of the trade. The Bills are losing $3.242M in 2024 cap space. Diggs is under contract to the Texans through 2027 for $75,107,941. Only $3.515M is guaranteed after 2024. https://t.co/I2V3zCyOiT

Sure they're loaded on paper, but Diggs is long to take a ton of targets from Collins and Dell who are better younger players.
Not gonna happen but I'd love to pry Collins out of there. Better still, Collins was a 3rd rounder - sure wouldn't mind getting one of those of our own in the 2nd/3rd round.
(Or another one of those. Ideally one that doesn't wreck his rented supercars just to avoid the CP stupidity) [Reply]

Depends on how they view Diggs and whether he'll be fine not being the true #1 there. I think he just wanted out of Buffalo because of how their offense evolved last year. [Reply]

Your boy Walker is very similar to Collins IMO. [Reply]

Certainly possible he'll be on his best behavior for a year after getting out of there.
Then the question is how good is he today? Because he looked like dogshit down the stretch. [Reply]

It's essentially the WR version of our Sneed deal. Except we actually freed up cap space in '24 while they've freed theirs up for '25 (by accelerating the dead cap).
On the Texans side - I think we get them at Arrowhead next year, right? Should be a fun game. They've turned things around quick as a hiccup. Scared money don't make money - those trades they made in the '23 draft were incredibly aggressive but appear to have paid off in a big way. [Reply]
