Being only marginally better than last season? Worthy likely has a higher ceiling and more potential than Hardman but he is unlikely, at least for now, to be a 6-8 target a game guy as an option on the majority of passing plays. Rice is better than Rice last season so that's good. Kelce is probably worst though.
But mostly what I’m fearful about is that losing Brown is going to be a major impediment to the offense being noticeably better than last season. He was likely big in our schemes and philosophy. I know we typically struggle vs the Bengals but as of right now I'm not sure what would make me confident we dramatically improve over last season.
What does everyone think? How can we ensure the significant improvement over last season that it seems we might need? [Reply]
It’s unbelievable this is still a discussion every year. Defenses are keying in on Kelce, rice is legit. We need worthy to come through as a 3rd reliable piece in this offense and we’ll be fine. [Reply]

Why is it unbelievable? I'm still worried about the offense last year. And we won the Super Bowl. [Reply]
I don't think the offense has the ceiling we were hoping for without Brown and the tackles don't look any better than last year. Pacheco is hurt. The defense is still good so there is margin for error to get better as the season goes on. [Reply]
Offense is fine. Look around the league. Scoring is down. Chiefs played 2 good defenses to start the year and win both games. Pull your panties out of your ass and enjoy the show. [Reply]

Bengals probably don't have a good defense, they were pushed around by the Patriots upfront. [Reply]
No. If this were late December then possibly. But it’s week 2 against two of the toughest opponents KC will face all year and they are still 2-0. They will be fine. [Reply]
Absolutely NO! This is a figuring it out stage for the Chiefs. We have Reid and will adjust our offense moving forward. NOT worried at all. We just beat the Ravens and the Bengals, what are we worried about? C'mon man! :-) [Reply]
Unfortunately with the injuries to Hollywood and now Pop, the ceiling will never be reached (which I thought was surefire #1 offense in the league this year)
Now it’s gonna be a bit more of a grind maybe, but I still expect an Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes unit to be more than good enough by the time it truly matters. [Reply]

20 and 25 points against Lamar and Burrow has you worried?? Last year with Sneed and Gay we gave up 20 to Zach Wilson, 24 to Russell Wilson, 20 to Kirk Cousins, 27 to Jordan Love and 20 to Josh Allen. So what's worse about the defense exactly? [Reply]

Anorumo has our number. But no longer can beat us.
We be fine.
Pat averages 25 points, 250 yards and two TD's against him. What number? [Reply]
