The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.
For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.
A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.
The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.
The screaming from Baltimore will be the loudest and screechiest if they lose. Their entire season's purpose is to avenge the AFCCG loss. Yet all they might accomplish is making Lamar and Henry one year closer to death. All without even touching Arrowhead again. Mwa haha!
Allen has more years to spend but the clock ticks faster in Baltimore. [Reply]

Yeah I think the pressure is going to be on Lamar and McDermott. Unless Allen goes out and throws 3 INT or something. [Reply]
McDermott isn’t going anywhere. Even if they lost today he wasn’t. Worst he could have done was get on the hot seat for next year if the defense gave up a bunch of points and they lost. They lost for far too long before him to fire him abruptly.
As for Allen vs Lamar and who needs it more it’s tough. Probably Allen since he’s at home and hasn’t won a divisional game in three years. [Reply]

They both need the win, but I think maybe Allen needs this one more (and yeah if they lose McD could lose his job).
If Allen loses this game, it will be his 3rd consecutive Divisional Round loss at HOME against the 3 other best QBs in the AFC:
- 2021 vs Mahomes @ Arrowhead = LOSS
- 2022 vs Burrow (home game) = LOSS
- 2023 vs Mahomes (home game) = LOSS
- 2024 vs Jackson (home game) = ??
Allen loses this and he will have lost consecutive DIV Round Home games to Burrow, Mahomes, Jackson.

But you know. None of that matters. Excuses and whatnot. Whatev.
You know what does matter? Games played in September. [Reply]

Ya both losing would have optimal but maybe the winner still has a horrible game . [Reply]

If it's Allen who loses to Mahomes in the AFCC, just remember...

I bet Patrick cares just about as much on the subject as I do [Reply]
