The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.
For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.
A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.
The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.

My new years wish is that everyone in the Bengals organization had a bout of acid reflux watching that game, going "damn, just one more win...".
Yeah, I probably undervalue everything else when thinking about what it takes for a team with a franchise QB to make the playoffs, or to put it another way, think the entire fucking world would have to blow up for a franchise QB to miss the playoffs.... because Nix and fucking Russell Wilson made it, and it's not like either of those teams even have 'elite' units or an elite team around them.
I'm not sure what my point of this post was though or where it was going...

Only thing that comes to mind is that it must be nice to not have the 25th ranked defense AND the 30th ranked offensive line, while also having a < mid ranked running game and kickers who missed 2 direct game winning field goals (1 didn't hurt them in the end) and 2 kicks in a game where you were tied late. Basically, what i'm saying is...it must be nice to not have an organization full of dumbasses.
But you know. None of that matters. Excuses and whatnot. Whatev. [Reply]

After basically disowning the Chiefs in the Herm years and then again in the Pioli years, my one fear with Mahomes was being so buttfucking stupid with the team around him, they'd repeat whatever the hell the Packers did to Aaron Rodgers all those years (I mean seriously, how the hell can you fuck up such talent for that long and not even luck into more SB appearances coming from the NFC?).... fortunately, Veach goes all-in to fix issues every offseason and I have to assume Mahomes has a pretty big voice in what happens, who they draft and bring in, etc. [Reply]
I still can’t believe the Bengals defense is so bad that they caused Burrow to throw an INT against the Ravens in their first game when they just needed a few first downs to win. [Reply]

Packers hardly fucked up anything. They provided Fraudgers with some loaded rosters, particulary towards the end of his tenure with the team. Not their fault he was a consistent top of the line playoff choker. That one playoff run when they lost to the whiners at home after scoring a measely 10 points, that was the most stacked roster of any team in the playoffs. [Reply]
