Payton was never going to coach the Chargers. He saw firsthand how much orange is in the stands when Denver plays in LA.

Who wouldn't be enthusiastic that a newly hired head coach would come out in a press conference and say he's excited to work with his GM!

That franchise is such trash that KnowMo is resorting to getting excited about introductory press conference talk.

I'm not sure how they build much of a defense. They haven't gotten any pass rushers worth much, Gregory is hurt again, the secondary has 1 good CB.

Tough rebuild there.
