Okay, here is a place for the Golfers to talk about tournaments, clubs, swing help or thoughts.
Today is the Players Championship, which I think ought to be the 5th Major. Largest pot in the PGA. The daunting 17th, which seems to bring excitement every year. At least we will get to see Sergio blow up yet again.
Suddenly I no longer feel that my window to win the Masters or US Open has closed. Had to go hit some balls today during the midday stock market lull to fine-tune my game.
Phil just went full-on legend. Not that he wasn't already, but a major at 50??? CRAZY. Hefty Lefty and the ASU Sun Devils ftw. [Reply]
Phil was golf teammates at San Diego HS with infamous murderer Scott Peterson, who killed his wife Laci. Scott was arrested for the murder in front of Torrey Pines golf course.
Koepka was a big baby in his interview and he pretty much guaranteed he'll never have the crowd and fans like Phil did. That mean ol crowd was trying to take out his knee! [Reply]

I think some 59 year old ping pong table won the Gold Medal or a Ping Pong championship a few years ago. Can always train for that, too. [Reply]
Koepka is such a bitch. Whining about the fans today too, saying he thinks fans tried to hurt his surgically repaired knee on purpose. Bryson is douchey, but at least he's interesting. [Reply]
So was Tonya Harding in the gallery with a ball peen hammer? Because having to wade through a sea of fans on 18 following the winner is a tradition in majors. I think the frustration of injuries and a woeful putter is grinding on Koepka.

Koepka is THE WORST. Takes being an asshole to an entirely new level. Maybe if he wasn't such a sullen little bitch all the time everyone wouldn't root against him. [Reply]
Rahm DQ'ed (forced to withdraw) after the 3rd round of the Memorial with a 6 shot lead for positive covid test. All bets on Rahm to win (10-1 odds) stand, and will not be refunded. [Reply]

If that's your line of work and you haven't been vaccinated you're not thinking right. He just pissed away $1.6mil. [Reply]
Shawnee Golf & Country Club - $1,000 initiation fee, $250 a month.
Falcon Ridge - $3,000 initiation fee, $375 a month
Canyon Farms - $5,000 initiation fee, $550 a month (I was told)
Falcon Valley - very good but only nine holes
Sycamore Ridge - No initiation fee, $1250 per year after 1pm which is all I play anyway but 32 min away from me :-)
Sycamore Ridge 1-6 or 1-7 (they usually start you on the back links style nine first) are the best run of holes of golf in the KC metro area that I've been able to play. [Reply]

I know nothing of the Kansas golf scene so I had to look these courses up. If I could swing it financially, Canyon Farms all day. Course looks phenomenal. I'm guessing Falcon Ridge is very similar as their websites were carbon copies of each other. The best value seems to be Sycamore Ridge but Falcon Valley is real close. That course looks just as good as the others. Shawnee looks similar to Sycamore Ridge with Canyon Farms prices. I'm a member at a 9 hole course 1.5 miles from my house and don't mind it being only 9 holes. That way if I'm short on time I will only play 9 but still feel like I got a round in. [Reply]
