“He’s really excited,” Brees said of Wilson. “He can speak for himself, but I think the idea of having Sean Payton come for what he’s hoping is the rest of his career, I’m not sure there’s a better scenario for him.” pic.twitter.com/qWZeZzEg5h
Drew Brees described this to me as being a pivotal time for Russell Wilson: “To me, this is set up to be Russell Wilson’s prime _ especially with Sean Payton and a system that’s going to be built around him…This is a great opportunity for Russell Wilson.” pic.twitter.com/6bl9A0XG6w
This is how @drewbrees describes @SeanPayton, who spent 15 years together: “He’s a culture-changer. Not to say that they have a bad culture there, but he establishes that very quickly. He makes everyone in the building feel like they have to prove themselves _ in a good way.” pic.twitter.com/G9F7n80LHU

Not only was the factoid he bragged about incorrect, but the team it actually applies to is the one whose forum he's trolling and trying to impress. :-)
Just keeps getting dunked on.....day after day.... [Reply]

It’s a pretty blaring indictment on Sean Payton that he couldn’t make it back to the SB after his first one. Even more of an indictment that he couldn’t do it with a HOF QB.
There was no Tom Brady or Peyton Manning in your way over in the NFC for 95% of his time there. It’s nuts that a coach who is supposedly this good with a top 5 QB made it to the conference championship only once in the last 12 seasons.

Showing one throw over the middle is actually a perfect way to disprove this statement:

Denver fans consider their franchise to be elite, right?
Let's take a look at the last quarter century. Since 1998, they've missed the playoffs 15 times (63% of the time), with a 7-8 postseason record. In their playoff losses, they've been outscored 295-120. They've reached double digit wins 8 times (33% of seasons) and have finished with 8 wins or less 54% of the time.
Is there anything that suggests that this franchise has been elite since Elway retired? [Reply]
