The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.
For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.
A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.
The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.

I get it... it's practically a divisional rivalry at this point so the game would most likely be close until the end. You would be preaching to the choir with any talk about switch flipping in the playoffs. And I'd much rather see the Steelers or Texans or Chargers in the Divisional round.
At the same time, it would mean the Bills are out, which would be fucking hilarious, and should I really be more worried about the Bengals than the Bills? :-) [Reply]

KC - lost the lead on a Morris TD half way through the 3rd. Regained the lead on a Yoshi TD late 3rd. Lost the lead on a fumblesix, start of the 4th. Regained the lead on a McP FG just about half way through the 4th.
WSH - Scored 3 TDs to draw close each time in the 2nd half. Defense could not make a single stop the entire game.
BLT(2) - Chase TD to tie the game w/5mins left in the 4th. Los the lead on a TD w/under 2 mins left in the 4th. Chase TD w/38 seconds in the 4th. failed 2 pt try to lose.
LAC - 3 TDs in the 2nd half to tie the game with 12 minutes left in the 4th.
DAL - FG to tie w/10 min left in the 4th. TD to take lead with 1 minute left in the 4th.
DEN - GWD in OT.
Obv, only 2 of those are wins but they don't just have one way to win. The defense has actually improved a little in important points of the game recently.
As far as your last point. It's not strange at all since it was more than 1 good half of football. It was finding a way to win 3 straight times, once to go to the SB and making Patty look human while doing it.
You've managed to beat Burrow twice in a row since then, by a combined 4 pts, so we'll see how it turns out the next time we meet...

Would be funny if Allen gets MVP and Buffalo is knocked out in the Wild Card round. [Reply]
Allen vs Lamar for MVP is drawing out so entertaining stat manipulations. Both sides are well versed in this persuit. Bills fans have the upper hand in twisting narratives [Reply]

Bills and Ravens fans arguing over MVP is peasants arguing over scraps. [Reply]

That's a tough one to overcome.
They've been surviving off of timely turnovers and efficient, time-killing drives. Kind of like if the 2018 Chiefs offense had been methodical rather than a high-flying buzzsaw.
What happens in the playoffs, if the opposing team does NOT turn the ball over?
Then it becomes a "last possession" type of situation. Which you can do, especially when you have an Allen or Mahomes under center. But man... when the Ravens have the offense they do (which is specifically a very diffcult personnel matchup for the Bills light DL and LB groups), and the Chiefs' offense has been clicking into playoff mode...
You hate to see it. But mostly you love to see it. [Reply]
TwoBillsDrive is actually pretty worried about Denver. If McDermott loses to a rookie QB in the Wild Card round after all this it would be hilarious. [Reply]
