They'll have to find someone who's willing to die on the sword for Russell Wilson. Someone who's down for a 1-3 year gig, get paid, ruin your reputation and get fired kinda deal. [Reply]
It’s a riff on the Jim Gaffigan bit about what it is like to have five kids.
But if you’re the broncos just imagine you’re struggling to tread water and drowning and somebody tosses you a bag of quikcrete. That’s the russ contract [Reply]
I'm expecting to hear Denver put out the smokescreen for "being very impressed by" Evero. It's bound to happen in the next day or two, and then their actual top guys will decide to stay where they are or get hired by other teams.
And then Denver will be in a position where their Evero bluff will get called. And when they try to hire him, he'll spurn them for a job with ANOTHER team.
Eric Bieniemy is coming, Knowmo. Don't act like you'd seriously rather have David Shaw. I know you don't. [Reply]
With the #Texans eying DeMeco Ryans and his desire to interview with Houston next week, that may not align with #Broncos timeline despite DEN thinking highly of Ryans. GM George Paton and CEO Greg Penner have continued conversations with other candidates throughout the process.
"may not align with #Broncos timeline despite DEN thinking highly of Ryans..."
Translation: The Broncos would like Ryans to start working for them next week. Ryans would like to never work for that clownshow of an organization in his life.
Timeline...jesus. Yeah, that passes the sniff test. "We really want to hire Ryans - but we don't want to wait until...February..." [Reply]
