On the other hand, if you don't like the heat, in December/January, in Sydney, there are many days above 30c (86f) and even above 35c (95f) (unless we're having an oddly cool summer, like 2 years ago). One big thing also is that during the summer, the temperature doesn't lower all that much during the night, which can be a bitch while trying to sleep if you don't have AC.

I live in Phoenix. Go ahead and check the average summer temperatures here, day and night. We have a few weeks where it doesn't get below 95f even at night.
Apparently drinking cold beverages with meals is unhealthy. Well, if drinking cold drinks is going to shorten my life somehow, so be it. Drinking non-cold drinks is no way to live.

Got drunk during the day yesterday and got home and fell asleep at 8 pm. Woke up at 1:30 am and can't fall back asleep.
I've been on the internet ever since, and my laptop battery is about to die. My laptop charger is in my truck and it's raining and I don't feel like going to get it.
