Sure that makes a ton of sense KnowMo.
It has been rumored for a week that Shaw was someone Harbaugh would want to bring with him to Denver if he got the job. He may have mentioned it in his Zoom interview with the Broncos the other day.
With all of the Stanford connections the Broncos have, they may have been planning on interviewing him anyways. Shaw was one of the more coveted college coaches for a long time, so he’s deserving of an interview regardless. I just heard Shaw mentioned as a potential OC a few times last week and assumed that’s what’s happening now. [Reply]
Guess who placed last in The Athletic’s final power rankings?
32. Denver Broncos (5-12)
(Preseason rank: 12)
No team had a more disastrous season. They mortgaged their assets for Russell Wilson and promptly signed him to what is now the worst contract in football. Prospective head-coaching candidates — which reportedly include, so far, Jim Harbaugh, Sean Payton, Dan Quinn, Raheem Morris, DeMeco Ryans and Ejiro Evero — will want to be assured their futures are not tied to Wilson’s. You're a dumb motherfucker. David Shaw does not like Harbaugh and would not step down a level after being the guy for 10 plus years.
Only a real dumb fuck like you would believe that. [Reply]
I saw another ranking that listed Denver as the least desirable gig. I don’t get it. Top 5 roster, franchise QB, a savvy GM who never gets fleeced in trades, weak division opponents…

What gives?
That can't be right. The walnuts have all that money to throw around, so I'm sure they're just waiting for the right moment to announce that Vince Lombardi has been resuscitated and will be their next HC [Reply]

Yeah he says a lot of dumb things, but this might be one of the worst. Why would any potential coach interview for a coordinator position so the team could get the HC they really want? [Reply]

Even then I think the Wal Marts don’t just throw insane money towards a coach. They might be the wealthiest owners, but they are only 1 of 32. Can’t imagine the other owners being too happy with them paying a coach obscene amounts of money and skyrocketing coach salaries. [Reply]
Of the people that actually may want the job I’d say that Caldwell is probably their best option. But I’m sure they’ll end up with Best Value Jim Caldwell instead…. Frank Reich [Reply]

They’ll probably just steal Reid or Belichick. [Reply]
