There was a doctor on 610 the other day that said that Mahomes should get surgery this off season on it to further stabilize it and stop it from continually reoccurring and I agree with him. This whole letting it heal naturally while playing on it thing clearly isn't working and it will just get worse the longer he plays so it's in his best interest to just nip it in the bud and try a more permanent fix.
But it's an optional surgery so the conversation was about if Mahomes wants to be in a boot for a few weeks and then rehabbing in the off season when he could instead be golfing, yachting, doing endorsement shit and just relaxing like he likes to do. [Reply]

Meh IDK.
Are we sure it isn't happening because he's gumby? I think the laxity has more to do with it than prior injuries.
It's a blessing and curse. Makes you more susceptible to an initial injury, but also allows him to recover much quicker. If all our ligaments are like rubber bands, his are A LOT more stretchy than average. [Reply]

Unless this "doctor" has either physically examined Pat's ankle or seen any of the relevant images, he's just talking out his ass. No different than Clay in regards to Hollywood favoring his shoulder. Pure conjecture looking for attention. [Reply]

People are shortsighted.
Wentz is the best backup QB in the league. He's better than probably 10 starters in the league. He performs at a high level against Texans, he'll have a starting job next year. He's going to be motivated.
The fly in the ointment this year that's different from previous years is 3 games in 10 days on a bum ankle. Doesn't matte show tough he is or his pain tolerance. Thats a tough go when fully healthy.
The goal we all share is wanting a healthy Mahomes doing Mahomes stuff in the playoffs. If that happens, he will being home the 3peat. [Reply]

Wentz is not the best backup in the league. We don't know what he is until he takes a snap.
It doesn't matter though, Mahomes is playing. [Reply]

I'm not too familiar w all the backups in the NFL but Wentz is definitely up there. Like Mahomes said, he has won plenty of football games in this league. Reid has confidence in him and knows him from Philly.

We are starting to see some people saying Carson Wentz is/will be better than Patrick Mahomes. I think it’s ridiculous, but there are people that feel that way. I was wondering if anyone here would choose Wentz over Mahomes. So the choice is simple: who would you rather have as QB for the rest of the season? Wentz Or Mahomes? [Reply]
Wentz has massive problems with dealing with pass rush, he holds the ball far too long. Its kind of the worst case scenario with him lining up behind center with our current problems. [Reply]

Huh? Every talking head and guys stuck in the film room with no lives says so. Just because he hasnt thrown a ball in a live game doesn't mitigate he has the most talent for a backup QB in the league.
I agree, its a moot point. We all on here can read the tea leaves going out of Arrowhead, he's playing. [Reply]
I know you're scared but don't be. He's gonna play, they're gonna win, and he's going to be fine.
Scared? The fuck you talking about. Im not the one playing and I have full confidence in Reid making the right decision in regards to who plays QB on Saturday as I said. Either way I'm fine w it.
You are the one so adamant about the decision, not me [Reply]

Theres a reason he is our backup. No team would guarantee him a starting job. If you have to be a backup, be Mahomes backup. [Reply]
