Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.

I'm sure Veach has a plan that involves moves we haven't even thought about yet. This opens up so much going forward.
That said, this is really disappointing. All of our competitors took a step forward for this next season and we're almost certainly taking a step backwards. It's a tough pill to swallow even if it's necessary for longer-term sustainability.
Just not sure how anyone can really feel good about today. [Reply]
The math piece of this equation appears to be getting the best of several posters on here. Run the numbers and tell e how it was supposed to work with Tyreek just got from the Dolphins
The Chiefs ran the numbers and came to this conclusion. This has clearly been in the works for a while judging by the set trades they had with the Jets and Dolphins.
Now to see what the Chiefs' plan is to address the WR position because they also surely have that as well. [Reply]
Teams were taking away the deep ball and pretty much hampering Tyreek's biggest weapon which is his speed. This move allows Reid and Pat to rebuild the offense and perhaps rely on new things like RUNNING THE BALL MORE? Hill was great and he will go down as a legendary wideout for this organisation..but it's time to move forward now. OBJ is out there if he'd be interested in a modest deal. All in all we've got cap space and loads picks so let's fecking go. [Reply]

I know it’ll get spun into me being a homer, but I’m excited, because I’m a draftubator nut.
I fully accept that the Chiefs might be worse off his year, but it’s not about 1 year.
This is the start of Veach’s new 3-5 year plan. I’m honestly excited for it. [Reply]
