- Early career production - Dynamic threat downfield & after the catch - Elite speed & start-stop ability - Fluid mover w/ good route running chops - Ball tracking is A+
Not entirely sure why the vibe isn't higher when talking about him in the WR class. pic.twitter.com/dv3JjdyZgh
I'll write something fresh about Worthy tomorrow morning now that he's a Chief to lay out how he's more than speed, but for now here's an excerpt from article linked in the below tweet... https://t.co/EcW7QtUrFFpic.twitter.com/811ahCEfMS
We lost Sneed and maybe his replacement dials up some big gains or a TD but this offense is going to score a lot more points this year so that should be offset. 3peat on track. [Reply]
Exactly. Remember how good a healthy Hardman was in the red zone a coupe years ago? Reid knows how to use that speed in the red zone, and Worthy's even better. [Reply]
When you plant your foot in the ground and the DB goes flying off in the other direction....yeah that's good route running right there. That ability to plant that foot and explode off it....reminds me of KT. [Reply]

If the Chiefs could've given them a 6th they would've, that was the cost of doing business. You're splitting hairs over some pretty low comp thats almost a wash to get the guy they wanted. They didn't feel they could stay at 32 and get the guy they wanted and more than likely wouldn't of got Worthy. [Reply]

Yeah seems like very little when you consider that move would have put Zay Flowers on our team instead of the team trying to choke us out in the playoffs while we cant mover he ball. [Reply]

Exactly, they missed out on Zay Flowers last year. This year Veach wasn't missing again on that player. [Reply]

And watching the draft podcast over at Arrowhead Addict, their guys also weren't pleased with the pick, including Verderame. It was the instinctive natural reaction at the time. Biggest criticism was his thin frame. Now, he may add 10 pounds of muscle over the summer. It is possible.
I still believe McConkey was a safer pick. But Worthy has bigger upside, no doubt. Can stretch the field more. He did play with a broken hand in 2022 which caused his numbers to dip. Has been productive in all his years in college and has great acceleration after the catch, similar to Rice, with a faster takeoff speed. Played in a big name school. Seems book smart. There's a lot to like when sitting back and reviewing the pick. But as they always say, best ability is availability. The NFL is brutal, it's physical. Especially for a receiver. [Reply]
