I know there are enough of us to participate in this thread, even when our seasons inevitably go to shit.
KSU vs Western Illinois today, tip-off at 3:00 pm.
One thing I noticed near the end of the game on Friday night - we had 5 true freshman on the court, and still played sound basketball. None of them were scrub walk-ons either. While I don't think we will make a serious run at anything this year, the foundation is being laid for a solid program in the future. [Reply]

Not much from CK, but when they needed him he answered.
JAMSLAM was gold.
Guards are incredible and at the same time, kinda dumb.
Anytime you can get a win on the road...is good. I don't care where it is or who you are playing, always a positive.
I'm just glad we got out of the meat of our non-con relatively unscathed. 10-1 with 3 patsies left to go. Cleveland State is a solid Horizon league team but we should handle them with ease in Bramlage. [Reply]

You're right, Saul. It looks so easy at times, but {phogcliche} "WE get everybody's best shot"!!!! [Reply]
OK, now that we escaped that garbage 2nd half with a W.... Here's a Top 25 (a.k.a. teams ahead of us that lost) update:
#9 Tennessee got worked by Southern Cal, 77-55.
#10 UNC lost to #2 Texas, 103-90
#11 Georgetown lost to Old Dominion at home, 61-57.
#13 Florida lost to Richmond at home, 56-53.
#15 Gonzaga got killed by #7 Duke, 76-41.
#16 Texas Tech lost at Wichita State, 85-83.
Teams in between #10 and us (#17) that didn't lose: #12 Michigan State beat IPFW, 80-58. #14 UCONN plays UCF tomorrow. [Reply]
TO's were again an issue. Jake had 6, Wally 5 Dom 3 - accounting for 14 of 22 total.
The officials let them play and that's agood thing. There were some really good gifted players in this game and it was nice to see the stripes allow them to run.
K-State defeats the #93 RPI team by 13 on the road...
KU defeats the #235 RPI team by 11 on a "neutral court" located less than 90 miles from the KU campus. [Reply]
