Nzoner's Game Room>50 Beers to Try Before You Die
NewChief 06:18 AM 04-24-2010
Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).

(CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"?

How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

I like mango in beer but this was just average overall.

You might like mango cart. It’s decent, although very noticeably sweet to me.

This one is done very well. Sour base with a great mango undertone, without being super sweet. Been outside all morning so this is perfectly refreshing.

This beer is pretty freaking good. The coconut is quite understated and the barrel treatment is the true star of the show. Super tasty.

Pool day in October in KC is never a bad thing.

So, Oktoberfest is absolutely wild, and should definitely be on everyone's bucket list. The whole event is held at what's essentially a fairground, and the "tents" are these massive structures that house thousands of people. Live music in every tent, people dancing on tables, drinking beer by the liter - it's a fucking party. I think the most I put down was 9 liters in one day, lol - pure insanity.

I didn't do well with the photos, but here are some to get an idea...

Stopped at a local craft beer store here 20 minutes ago and bought 6 different beers.

Interesting mix for sure; sours, stouts, Double IPA, flavored Wheat.

The most random of places to find TG Cherry Fandango on tap.

Can't wait to get back to the Arizona beer scene... looking at doing the main 4 in VT this weekend, but man... one just has pilsners and pale ales on tap, Alchemist apparently usually only has a couple beers on tap. One stop has a 3 pack of bomber stouts for $75, but none on tap to try.

Might just head back to Barreled Souls and Bissell Brothers. :-)

I know, poor me. :-)

And I'm quite the picky beer drinker (partly due to making the most of calories and carbs).... I never would have guessed stouts weren't a big part of the beer scene throughout the year here though, if not sours or other bolder beers outside of IPAs. :-)

Going to enjoy some 15% motor oil stouts when it's 100⁰+ next year just out of spite. :-)

Most beer purists hate big stouts, which is most of New England. IPA is the only space they step outside the box.

The Maine Brewing Co stout in the pic you posted above is 5.6% haha
