Really good money was made on the Denver under...
It's a terrible indictment of Denver management.

I’ll say it again now that the season has played out, no team trades a 34 year old franchise quarterback just for the fun of it. They saw the decline, they saw his teammates not respect him, and they dumped him. If he was still a good quarterback the Seahawks wouldn’t trade him and give up chances at championships if they believed in him. It’s really that simple. Blame Hackett, ownership, Patton, whoever but ultimately Russell isn’t that guy.

The Broncos OL is really really bad and their WR’s are nowher near Metcalf/Lockett quality.

There’s just so much for Denver to have to fix on offense to help him and that’s gonna be hard with his contract numbers jumping up after only one more year.
Before injuries, their OL wasn’t too bad. And their running game was solid, and the receiving weapons were decent. Yet Wilson’s production sucked mightily then too. That’s what’s great about this. Without Wilson somehow playing at a much higher level, they’re just bound to suck.

Yep, I've been on that soap box ever since the trade. I never did get an answer from any of our resident donktards.

Whoever the Donks hire, he will have always been their #1 candidate, and the #PatonPlan and/or #WhoeverthefuckPlan will be operating to perfection. That much is a given.

Russ was still viewed as that guy across the league. Many teams would've given up what Denver did. In fact, the Bears offered the Seahawks more (3 1st round picks and a 3rd) for Russell Wilson in 2021.

The relationship in Seattle had run its course. I'm sure they're just as shocked as everyone else by how poorly Denver's offense has performed this year.

But it will get better.

John Elway took a team to the SB a year before his bad year. Russ hasn’t been exceptional in the playoffs since the LOB and Beast mode carried him.

Yeah, and Einstein got bad grades as a kid. Russell's are even worse, and as an adult!

Seattle expected him to play bad. Why do you think they traded him? :-)
