Well, that's too hard to cut when it's that high and completely falls apart. I almost made a mile-high but I couldn't make my leaf and wheat appliques on top. [Reply]
I haven't fucked with a KFC since KenTacoHut was down the street in the late 90s. I do miss their Little Bucket Parfaits though, both the chocolate and the strawberry. My old roommate used to trade weed for boxes of them. Thank the god below for teenage metabolism.

Not knocking your effort. Your remark just reminded me of a signature dish at a GREAT restaurant nearby.
If anyone ever gets the chance to stop in the Blue Owl in Kimmswick [south of St. Louis, roughly the same distance as Harrisonville from KC], take it. It's a little 'precious' in the sense of being like a grandma's tea circle kind of place. But everything is scratch-made and delicious. It's a little pricey, particularly considering the location [ie, Manthattan prices in the middle of nowhere] but worth it if you can swing it.
For example, the pie pictured above is $55 plus shipping to deliver to your home.

I didn't take it that way. Just commenting on why I did what I did. My mound is higher than it looks in the photo I posted. That's cause my sister took those pics and she's looking down on it.

I love those old grandma tea type of restaurants. Used to go to one in Iowa, out in farm country, when my daughter was young and we visited in-laws. The owners retired though, and it is no longer. [Reply]
Smoothie this morning with spinach, squash, blueberries, and banana.
Saving my appetite for tonight. I'm smoking ribs, the wife is making cheese potatoes, and we'll also have whatever my buddy's wife makes to go with it. Just finished making my homemade bbq sauce.

Ordered online from Giordano's. I haven't been there since '93. I'm sure it's not as good as fresh at the restaurant, but it was better than most fresh pizza around here. [Reply]
I tried doing a reverse sear on a butthole steak, came out more medium than medium rare. I like the method, just didn't adjust enough for the thinner cut of steak.
