Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?
Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? [Reply]

What's folks doing to them now days.
High Capacity Magazines are all over the place, it's just a matter of what the price is going to do. If you are thinking about that buy them yesterday I've already seen a jump in price (along with ammo) and it only going to get worse if Clinton wins, at least in the short term.
As far as mags, I like steel and don't care for plastic. I know a lot of guys swear by plastic, but I have had nothing but bad luck with them. Once again, that's a completely subjective topic.
Regarding dress up items, that's completely subjective and depends on your personal preference. If you dig through this thread, you will see unlimited sources on accessories and ammo as well. It really depends on what your end game is with the rifle. You can spend as much or as little as you like. Hell you can get that bad boy set up with a top notch night vision scope if that's your thing? [Reply]

Backup iron sights and a red dot would be a good start. Or just the sights if that's your thing. Your Magpul handguard will take a wide range of accessories...vertical grip, flashlight/laser, etc. And maybe a sling of some sort? One thing I want to put on mine is a better charging handle. [Reply]
Thanks for the info guys... Yeah I am getting the CC out of the safe and going to spend a little on some accessories and ammo. Just incase Clinton wins and we have to defend our country again. [Reply]
I cleaned my wife's grandfather's M1 Garand today. It was his father in law's during WWII. He was in the Pacific theater. His father in law decided to butcher it and put a sporterized stock on it. Hopefully the original stock is somewhere.
Anyways, it was the dirtiest gun I've ever cleaned. It took two hours to clean. How often do you clean your guns? I try to clean mine as soon as possible after shooting. [Reply]

It's funny - a couple of years ago I was leaving Denver (business) and decided to drive home the LONG way. This was not too long after they had banned high capacity mags in Colorado. I headed through Nebraska and stopped at a Cabelas and there, in a large whisky barrel, they had HUNDREDS of 30-40 round MAGPUL mags...Hell, I bought 10 of the 40 rounders. Why not? They were 7 bucks a piece. The guy behind the counter says "You must be from Colorado" and I said nope, Kansas...just passing through. [Reply]

Dad has an M1911 Officers Compact that's a very nice little piece.
Finish probably isn't as high quality as a Colt or Springfield but its shoots nice and is actually easier on ammo than my Colt. [Reply]
