Okay, here is a place for the Golfers to talk about tournaments, clubs, swing help or thoughts.
Today is the Players Championship, which I think ought to be the 5th Major. Largest pot in the PGA. The daunting 17th, which seems to bring excitement every year. At least we will get to see Sergio blow up yet again.

Tommy Armour Golf offered a set of same length shafted irons probably 20 years ago. They sold miserably and had no touring pro's touting there wonders. I read in Golf Magazine their is a touring pro playing them now if others follow suit maybe it could catch on. I could possibly see some benefit to beginners and high handicappers possibly trying using one address and posture for striking your irons. I am very old school so very sceptical on this but if could play a demo set from Golf shop or clubhouse pro shop give her a whirl. [Reply]

Again, my effort was more out of general interest because my son's interested in playing for the school, and being bored. If it messes up my game any more than me being a golf hack has, well I'll just blame God and hitting left-handed as a person who writes with my right hand - yeah, that's at least 2-strokes a hole as a score it...
But you're 100% right, since I am the occasional golfer the most repeatable part of my experience is the beer.
As for the grips, I've not played a round with them yet, but they sure do feel good. But my old ones were at least 7 years old, so I'm sure new gray tape would have been an upgrade... :-)
Jeff Summit is who Id do a search for he was a club designer for Dynacraft Golf who was bought by Hireko Golf around 2010. Jeff is a wealth of knowledge on club fitting and building-repair. He had a forum very popular with clubbuilders but Hireko shut it down about a year ago due to spammers. He has a email address at Hireko Golf that he monitors and will answer questions and give help. He publishing a yearly complete comprehensive shaft fitting addendum that is a staple in every clubfitter and repair. Jeff Summit also publishes a lot of you tube video's. I trust his advice completely. [Reply]

Coolio (in case I ever do it again).
The son and I went to the range today, but, because the almost-real-ball place had the range closed, we ended up at the range with those shitty balls that float and nobody can hit far. Well, that's enough whining (!!!!), the good news is he loved his new grips, I love my new grips, and the adjustments seem to have improved impacting the ball - for both of us.
So, on balance, we saved quite a few clams doing it on our own, had some quality father/son time, and even learned a thing or three in the process. [Reply]
She's always been a skank, which is unfortunate, because she could have had a legitimate career had she just approached her job with a modicum of professionalism. I'm sure she'll be shooting for Brazzers before the end of next year. [Reply]
They conveniently left out the time she was dating Kliff Kingsbury after he was named coach of the Az Cards.
Always thought that was a strange pairing. [Reply]
