Seriously though, I'm married to one of those Cali asian types, and I fought the idea of Pho for a long time because I'm not a fan of soups. We were in Houston a couple of years ago for a concert, and I let her pick the lunch spot as a thank you for surpriding me with concert tickets.
Of all the good eats in Houston, she chose a fucking hole in the wall Pho joint. Initially, i was annoyed. I ordered short ribs, and as i was tearing into them, she convinced me to try a bite of her Pho. One bite and I was hooked. We switched entrees, and I devoured the entire bowl.
Nowadays I'm happy to go to any Pho joint. I squirt in some siracha for heat, and go to town.

lol...yeah, I believe it's vietnamese. And some places also serve boba tea, which is good, too. But its pretty sweet, and you've always come across as the type thats not into a lot of sweets. [Reply]

Never had a real Ramen though so that could change. KCUnited's picture looks great. Likely too hot here for me to really want it much of the year though.
PHX February '19, we're hunting some down, B'ledat. [Reply]
