Fixed.

I guess that's why Elway bascially came out and tried to put it out there that he preferred O'Connell.

Paton is the GM. Hackett was his guy. You're delusional if you think otherwise.
Yeah, Elway said that once it was clear Hackett was an idiot.

The fact that Paton wanted to fire Fangio before the 2021 season but then ended up keeping him for another year makes me think that he didn't have as much control as one would expect a GM to have.

Again, if I'm wrong and Paton has been behind the wheel the whole time, kick him to the curb.

Where's Dom Casual? Knowmo? Kransrectum? I mean if you are gonna troll out the crap they do and then disappear when everything you said is wrong, then you should just be banned. As for the rest of the donk fans, I've got perma grin just thinking about the lost hope of those fans. Suck it Donk!

My personal conspiracy theory is that Wilson didn't want to come to Denver (he had a no-trade clause with Seattle, and Denver was not on his initial list of teams he would waive it for) until he was promised a huge extension before having to play a single snap. Again, was this Paton's decision? Elway and Ellis were in control at that point.

If Paton made those decisions, then yes, he should go. The only thing I know he's been in charge of was drafting, and our drafts have improved significantly since he was hired.
The GM wasn't responsible for a trade?

They hired Hackett thinking they could get Rodgers, then they had to pivot to Russ and it's been a disaster.

Woof. I guess I can't blame MagicHef for the cope, but wow.

It's all murky with titles and actual responsibilities.

If any props were given to Paton after becoming GM prior to the 2021 season, then he owns this debacle as well. Sure, there were others involved, but to suggest his hands didn't pull the triggers on the HC and trade for Wilson is just looking for an easy way out to cast any blame.

I'm going to guess that we have 10-13 points going into the half.
We'll be tied or down by 3 to the Panthers at the top of the 4th.

Push for OT almost again... but we watch CAR run away with a 19-17 victory.

Taking notes.

Are you referring to this week or next week?

I honestly don't know. I have a feeling that Elway (President of Football Operations) and Ellis (President and CEO) were keeping more power for themselves than it appeared. It seemed very odd when Fangio stuck around when Paton clearly did not want him.

Pretty likely that our Walmart overlords just clean house, though

I don’t care either way, I have no loyalty to Paton. As far as I can tell, he’s been a figurehead that’s really only had drafting responsibilities, so it’s hard for me to blame him entirely for the state of the team.

Baseless horseshit.

You can keep saying things like "I have no loyalty to Paton", but when you turn around and say shit like the bold, it's pretty obvious that you're coping.

Baseless? I’ve repeated the same thing about Fangio staying on as HC in 2021 several times. What GM do you know of who gets overruled on his HC choice?
