Caught up with Broncos Owner Greg Penner along with a few scribes covering fan event tonight in London.
Penner expressed disappointment with team’s slow start, acknowledged understanding of fan anger and said that while he supports Hackett, he is always evaluating. #9Sports

Good luck finding a legit HC willing to risk their reputation with that dumpster fire...broke and no real draft capital...in a division with Mahomes/Reid.
I wouldn't do it...would you? Talk about career suicide... You would be tied to an already declining Wilson for 4 years. Their situation was completely avoidable...self-inflicted incompetence/desperation.
In other news...KC just landed Toney. Kind of cool to watch your team land the WR they wanted in last year's draft for a 3rd round comp...while already being rated #1 on offense. [Reply]
There are no shortcuts at QB, Donks. It's what we tried to tell you.
The problem with your franchise is because you've had success in the past at acquiring other teams' QBs, you think that's the only way it can be done.
Other than Paxton, you kept rolling the dice on these lottery ticket fliers, and when just 5 years of them didn't work the way you wanted, you went off the goddamn deep end and sold everything to get Russ.
The NFL doesn't work that way. You needed to keep trying. The league has never seen so many instant success QBs who get drafted, and you guys were too beholden to your draft misses and not aggressive enough at pursuing the good players. Arizona didn't freeze when they drafted Rosen. They went right back and got Kyler. Your franchise is too scared to take one look at one of your guys and go, "Mmm... we've seen enough. Not the guy. Won't ever be the guy."
Bridgewater, Flacco, Keesum. Three straight years of three different stopgap QBs. All of them acquired to bridge the gap to Drew fucking Lock.
Well, at least you're not back in the cycle of finding another stopgap. Wilson is here, and he's going to stay for awhile.
Buckle up and get a fucking helmet. It's going to be a bumpy ride, Broncos Country. [Reply]
I do wonder how it feels to have sacrificed your future and a quarter of a billion dollars to bring in a franchise-savior QB only to find out that not only is he washed up, you're stuck with him... and you sacrificed your dignity in the process because he's the butt of every single joke in every single locker room in the NFL.
I'd feel bad for them, but fuck donk forever. [Reply]

It’s astonishing. No matter how many times you’re told that the starting point to trade for Payton is a first round pick, and you have no first round picks. You still seem to think one of the dumbest GMs in the league, who got so fleeced for a broken quarterback that he’s having to trade away the little bit of talent on the roster…. Is going to steal away Payton for no first or second round picks…. And you simply REFUSE to understand that Payton isn’t going to saddle himself to Mr Let’s Ride, and a bottom level roster. Honestly you’ll be lucky to hire anyone of merit after you fire Can’t Hackett. Nobody is gonna want to deal with that dumpster fire, with little to no talent, a 250 million dollar shit stain who’s the laughing stock of the league, and zero picks to try to get players to make up the difference. And on top of that, what players are going to want to sign there when your offense is horrendous, you’re constantly turning over coaching staffs, and you’re going to be irrelevant for the next 4 years. Good fucking luck Blowmo. [Reply]

Imagine being a fan of that team and being in deniable about the embarrassment that is your favorite team. Imagine thinking that everything is okay and that the future is bright. Imagine thinking the QB will figure it out and the organization is competent. I can’t imagine what that’s like.
Quesadilla, do you mind telling me what that’s like? [Reply]
