Is the exhaust going to be all the way out the back? If so you probably wont have a problem. But if your dead set theres several options for high flow cats. A friend of mine is running magnaflows on his supercharged 06 gto. [Reply]

It will run out the back but I will have a problem anyway. A few years back I had a C3 Vette without cats and it would give me a terrible headache when idling etc. Lots of odors really bother me anymore. My challenge is to find a combo of cats and mufflers that won't be too muffled. [Reply]

For my 79 Trans Am I ordered a built 403 engine, turbo 400 transmission, LT headers and exhaust and a Gearvendor OD/UD unit. If you're not familiar, the Gearvendor is a bolt on that basically gives you an overdrive for each gear so I'll basically have a six speed. Pretty cool shit. [Reply]

Ive always wondered about how the gearvendor units are. A local guy went form a 4l80 to a glide with a gearvendor and said it had a vibration at 70 that wouldnt go away no matter what. I always wondered if it was really the OD unit or just him. He's kind of a "greater than thou" type. He probably wouldnt admit if he fucked it up. [Reply]

Just spit balling here but I'd guess he had a drive shaft issue. They have to be modified or you have to have a shorter one built. [Reply]

I had that exact car in my early 20's. 403 Olds motor and all. It was fun.
Detox can likely give you the best advice on the cats and mufflers. [Reply]
After much consternation and internal debate I went ahead and modernized the old girls wheels. The old steel wheels were cool and all but I think this takes it to another level.
Rocket Racing Attack "Pro Touring" wheels. 18x8 with 235/40/18's and 18x 11 with 315/30/18's. Hard to tell from the pic but she has some meat under the back now. Plenty of room for 335's at this point if I wanted to down the road.

I fucking love this car.
Paint looks good too which I know is hard on that flat black. [Reply]
Finally got some work done on the FJ. New seats and carb. Took it for a drive, it pulls right and the one brake drum that works pulls right. Also shown, shag roof carpeting.
