2-1 in Rings. That and total passing yards are almost the only stats that Eli has over Russ. QBR, PRTG, TD/INT ratio, yd/att, etc. all belong to Russ.
ANd there are QBs in the HOF that don't have any rings, or just one. And Eli's QB stats across the board are pretty pedestrian. Plus he has a .500 winning percentage over his career, 117-117-0. Eli, outside of those two SB performances, is just a giant pile of 'meh.' [Reply]

Mahomes is just fine. He’s already ahead of the game. Just because he’s not racking and stacking at a Brady pace (who had the benefit of elite defenses carrying him to titles those first few years), doesn’t mean he’s some kind of failure.

I realize that very well. I lived through it. I know what it feels like to look back and think you really ought to have gotten a few more championships. And in that situation, Reeves was a pretty good coach. He got them to the SB three times. But, if only Shanahan had 5 more years with Elway . . .

Yeah, but Eli has the benefit of being retired. His numbers aren't going to get any worse over the next few years. The longer Dangeruss plays, the more Eli's stats will become better than his. [Reply]
