Why not sign both?
You're going to go young somewhere, why not use the strength of this draft and lean into it? I don't think it means the defense bottoms out. I think we can get better up front and add a corner and be a good defense.
I love Bolton, but if I am choosing between putting the best line I can in front of Mahomes so this crap stops happening or having Bolton and Reid it's not really a tough call for me. [Reply]

Because we already have candidates in house that should be able to play G at least adequately and almost nothing on the defensive side of the roster to backfill the losses currently. Justin Reid is the only one that may have a replacement in house right now with Hicks. Bolton and Omenihu are going to be massive losses. [Reply]

I have no problem with stacking the offensive line, especially when the Wars are years away from getting paid.
Omenihu can be replaced in this draft. Bolton is a good player, but if I have to sacrifice some experience for youth, I'll do it on that side of the ball. [Reply]

Really?
It's not Caliendo.
It's not Kingsley, at least not on the right side.
Y'all can't just spend a season or two bitching about how bad the OL is and then claim that an unproven backup would be serviceable after letting Trey leave. [Reply]

I personally don't think it's necessary. We just need to find the right match of competence and stability at LT to get Mahomes back to playing MVP level ball, because the constant rotations have that dude mind fucked and Veach already stated as much in his Combine press conference. [Reply]

It's a defense-heavy draft.
I'd much rather them focus on the OL/RB/WR and then use the draft to fill defensive holes. [Reply]

And you're making a huge assumption on Wanya - kinda the same thing you all are bitching about Veach doing with Kingsley.
Yes. Because he's backfilling for Thuney to replace him in 2026. I just don't think having him sit for a year is all that necessary to play inside. [Reply]

This is also why I fucking loathe the thought of bringing Humphries back for any reason. He's 31 years old and already ended the season on IR 4 different times. Just.... No. We've already seen Mahomes play behind a backup LT enough times. [Reply]
Yeah, that might be the only thing literally everyone here agrees on :-). Gotta get another body in that room. Maybe even two depending on how the draft falls. [Reply]
