We had a 2014 gardening thread and another planting trees thread. Figured it would be better just to have a general thread to share knowledge about all things yards.
I've learned stuff about growing things here in the desert from people all around the country. Post pictures and share your knowledge! [Reply]

Excuse to buy smoker? Smoked peppers have many uses
I smoke Habanaros and ghost peppers, dehydrate and grind to powder. It's in my BBQ rubs, sauce, and I use it like pepper(not liberally) on my food. SO not so much.
Great in chili and lightly added to stews. adds a smoky heat that I add to cottage cheese.
Did I mention that I sell what I over produce? Brings in extra whiskey money.

I have a huge jalapeno plant but think about adding a habenero. I don't know what I'd do with them though outside of making salsa.

I've tried but nothing works. Hard ass Phoenix water man!
Someone once suggested bleach and I was all like "bitch, do you even know hat chlorine is?" I'd probably just resurface each step. Pebbletech or something offsetting. Can't believe you don't have a hoop. Looks refreshing! [Reply]
