An underrated advantage of being so dominant in our division for so long, is it forces teams to be impatient to try to compete. Rather than building the right way the Broncos and Raiders went all in. The chiefs had a "rebuilding" year and they are still the team to beat. That's a scary thought for the rest of the division. The luxury of having a generational talent at qb is everyone else if forever trying to catch up. While paying for mediocrity, only leads to more mediocrity.
What’s also scarier and disturbing for the rest of the AFCW is that KC continues to dominate and be an at worst second best team in the league while being one of the youngest. Denver and LV are trying to compete with “splash” FAs because they can’t draft well. KC has a better HC than anyone in the AFCW, better GM and easily the best QB. Plus they draft ridiculously well considering they always draft at the end of each round. When teams have that going for them, they are very hard to beat. [Reply]

Because of that and what he meant to the franchise the Broncos are stuck with him and his poor hires and drafting.
